Maintenance/Janitorial

Reports To: Resident Manager


As a Maintenance Technician/Janitorial you’ll have two important jobs: your experience & skills will enable you to keep our community in top working order by maintaining and repairing all mechanical systems; your friendly, willing attitude will keep our current residents happy as you perform repair tasks and requests for service.
 
 
This is a busy and physical job. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends if required.

 
Essential Responsibilities
• Diagnose, assess & repair issues including electrical, plumbing, a/c, heating, and appliances
• Resolve resident requested maintenance calls
• Perform lease renewal maintenance checks
• Expedite turnover maintenance in vacated apartments
• Install & repair plumbing fixtures
• Replace light sockets, bulbs, switches and outlets
• Repair kitchen appliances
• Monitor pool equipment operation

Requirements
• Able to work for long periods of time on your feet
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Must adapt well to flexible work schedule
• Available to handle on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis
• Must pass hair drug test as well as criminal & credit background checks
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
 
Preferred Work Experience
• 2+ years building maintenance experience
